Speaking

I'm often asked to speak about media, gender, culture, and technology. In the past, I've spoken at events and conferences about my reporting on inclusion and diversity in the workplace, about how I built my freelance career, about modern media ethics and values, and about how to tune out (or tune into) criticism and feedback online.

I also love interviewing experts and authors. You can listen to recordings of my live conversations with Rachel Cusk, Thomas Page McBee, Glynnis MacNicol, Lidia Yuknavitch and Amber Tamblyn, Joy Press, Francisco Migoya, and Ellen Malcolm.

To have me speak at your conference or event, email me: ann@ladyswagger.com

If you have a speaking request for me and Aminatou Sow together (aka if you’re interested in Shine Theory or Big Friendship), contact Arianne Young at assistant@bigfriendship.com.
